Dr Hilary Jones has suggested that Prince Harry has become “focused on his victimhood” after having too much therapy on Good Morning Britain today.
This comes after Prince Harry opened up in a new interview with presenter and actor Dax Shephard on his podcast about mental health ahead of new documentary, The Me You Can’t See, with Oprah Winfrey.
The doctor, 67, gave his opinion on the fallout from Prince Harry’s interviews after some accused the Duke of Sussex of making yet another jab at dad Prince Charles.
Joining hosts Susanna Reid and Adil Ray, Dr Hilary gave his opinion on an NHS psychiatrist suggesting that Prince Harry may have had too much therapy.
Following comments psychiatrist Dr Max Pemberton made about Harry over-analysing his troubles, Dr Hilary said: “Actually, it rang bells with me.
“Because if you become totally focused on your own victimhood you never escape from it, and I think there is a risk of that perhaps being played out here.”
“It would be a terrible irony if in destigmatising therapy he actually puts people off therapy. Because it’s really important that people do get the support that they need,” Susanna added.
