It’s pretty hard to imagine what the monarchy would look like without the Queen.
But following the death of Prince Philip, Prince Charles has had to step up, taking on the role of the Duke of Edinburgh and his duties.
It’s spurred conversations as to what the monarchy might look like with Prince Charles on the throne.
Of course, there are some things that’ll definitely happen when the Queen’s eldest son, The Prince of Wales, becomes king.
He’ll move into Buckingham Palace, which will cause a residential reshuffle for other royals, and Camilla will get a title change – although she won’t be known as Queen.
Prince William will profit from the Duchy of Cornwall, and the national anthem will change to ‘God Save the King.’
But there are some things Charles himself will take the reins on, and some things he’s started planning for already.

Slimmed down monarchy
According to reports, Prince Charles has wanted to cut down the monarchy for a very long time, with his plans jump-started following the Prince Andrew crisis.
Royal author Angela Levin told talkRADIO: “Prince Charles has wanted for a very long time to cut the monarchy down to save costs and to make people be worth the money that they got from the taxpayer.”
Levin said she imagines when Prince Charles becomes king that Prince Harry and Meghan, who stepped down from royal duties last year, will be ‘ditched’ as members of the Royal Family.
