Prince Harry’s recent comments about his father’s parenting has attracting criticism from TV presenters Ben Shephard and Piers Morgan.
Ex Good Morning Britain host Morgan labelled Prince Harry a “spoiled brat” for “yapping” about his personal life after he appeared on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast where he opened up about being raised by his father Prince Charles.
Piers took to Twitter to rant: “For a guy who craves privacy. Prince sure is yapping a lot about his private life…”
He added: “How many more times is this spoiled brat going to publicly trash the Dad who’s bankrolled him his entire life?”
The royal compared his life to Jim Carrey’s film The Truman Show, where the main character’s life is broadcast to the entire world without him knowing.
Meanwhile Good Morning Britain presenter Ben Shephard criticised Prince Harry over the podcast interview, accusing him of once again “pointing the finger” at his dad Prince Charles and suggesting it was not the time “just weeks after his dad buried his dad”.
The Duke of Sussex spoke about his mental health and described his royal family life as “a mix between The Truman Show and being in a zoo”.
Discussing his comments on GMB, host Kate Garraway said that “he’s put the cat among the pigeons”.
“It’s a strange one isn’t it? Do you know the one thing that I’ve heard most of all – a young dad,” she said. “A young dad trying to do the best for his family and feeling pain themselves, feeling pain that you can see he’s gone…
