Princess Kate ditches suit for sweater vest at community hub | Royal | News

Miranda Holder told Express.co.uk: “It was announced earlier this year that the Palace would no longer release details of what and who Kate is wearing, most probably in an attempt to focus the worlds media on the important work the Royals conduct rather than their fashion choices, but despite this recent lack of information, Kate is still hailed as a fashion icon globally, with the ‘Kate effect’ bringing good fortune to the brands she champions.

“Perhaps this is why Kate’s image seems to have evolved yet again, with the Princess wearing more and more suits in her latest role, and wearing them exclusively for Royal Appointments since she returned from the summer break.”

But today’s look was much more casual and less structured than her recent ones.

She opted for a white blouse with oversized sleeves, which she buttoned up to the top.

Channelling autumn, she layered this with a grey sweater vest with a roll neck, the collar of her shirt visible underneath.

For a monochromatic look Kate went for slim grey trousers which hugged her legs and accentuated her figure. This pair was the Martin’ Pants in Mottled Grey by Sézane, priced at £130.

She wore dark grey kitten heels, a big change from the stilettos she’s usually spotted in. These were the Avery Heels in Tweed by J.Crew.

She went for minimal accessories, which was in keeping with the daytime attire.
