Piers Morgan has insisted that his negative views on Meghan Markle have nothing to do with her “ghosting him”.
The former GMB presenter addressed what many describe as a turning point in his relationship with the Duchess of Sussex in a whopping 7,000 word article.
In the piece, the 54-year-old didn’t hold back as he attempted to tear apart the claims she made about the Royal Family in a tell all interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this month alongside her husband Prince Harry.
Piers also addressed claims from GMB weather presenter Alex Beresford which led him to storm off the set while the show was still on air.
Just moments before his dramatic exit, Alex Beresford said: “‘I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle, you’ve made it so clear a number of times on this programme.
“I understand you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle or had one and she cut you off.
“She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to.
“Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has, but yet you continue to trash her.”
But Piers said that is not the case at all, despite this being the moment that prompted him to storm off.
In his article, he said: “Because she ‘ghosted’ me four years ago after we’d been friendly for 18 months.
