Meghan Markle is known to love a meaningful piece of jewellery. Since the start of her relationship with Prince Harry, she’s worn her heart on her sleeve (or more accurately, around her neck) in the form of sentimental ‘H’ necklaces, pendants, and charms – a tradition she continued when Archie was born. This month, one of her favourite British jewellery brands, Edge of Ember, is launching a deeply meaningful collection, inspired by and paying tribute to the NHS.
Launching on April 9 and named ‘The Fierce Collection’, Lynette Ong’s designs new designs honours the women on the front line and spotlights their brave work during the pandemic. “Like everyone across the country, we at Edge of Ember feel huge gratitude to the many thousands of NHS workers who have put themselves at risk on the frontline over the past 12 months and continue to do so,” she said in a statement.
Meghan’s known to be a fan of Ong’s brand, having been spotted wearing the popular brand’s best-selling visionary charm and kismet necklaces, as well as Ong’s signature wave earrings.
The collection itself consists of eight pieces, all made from 100% recycled sterling silver and ethically-sourced gemstones. Designed in order to remind the wearer of their inner strength and courage, and features ombre fiery stones to symbolise strength and energy.
