Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been questioned on how they will “approach things going forward” as friends and associates start to speak up for the couple. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex claim that those near them were told to keep silent even as they were being disparaged in public. ITV Royal Rota podcast hosts Chris Ship and Lizzie Robinson discussed the development, pointing to US TV host Gayle King’s recent reveal as an example.
Mr Ship told listeners: “Gayle King does a radio show as well, and she spoke on that about the texts and emails that exist to back up everything Meghan said to Oprah.
“Janina Gavankar said as much last week.
“It’s kind of like a new escalation in this war of words.
“Given that Meghan’s friends feel that they are now free to speak is this how the PR campaign is going to go forward from here?”

Ms Robinson added: “So that’s This Morning that she’s spoken on, the radio show, and we heard Janina last week.
“So you have to wonder if this is how they’re going to approach things going forward.
“It will make it difficult to have private conversations between members of the family if there’s a running commentary being put out every time they talk.”
In her interview with Oprah, Meghan said that her friends were told by the Palace to not interact with the press.
