Archie Mountbatten-Windsor is going to have a little sister come the summer, as Prince Harry has revealed that he and his wife Meghan are expecting a baby girl. ‘To have a boy and a girl, what more can you ask for?’ said Harry. ‘Now we have our family, the four of us and two dogs.’
The couple also confirmed that this would be their last child. In an interview that Harry did with ethologist Dr Jane Goodall for the issue of British Vogue that his wife guest-edited in 2019, he said that the couple would only have two children for environmental reasons, ‘two, maximum!’
‘I’ve always thought: this place is borrowed,’ he continued. ‘And, surely, being as intelligent as we all are, or as evolved as we all are supposed to be, we should be able to leave something better behind for the next generation.’
Elsewhere in the bombshell interview, the couple spoke out about the racism that they had experienced ahead of the birth of their first son, Archie. Meghan told Oprah that a relative of Harry’s had raised ‘concerns’ over the skin colour of their unborn child and ‘what that would mean’. She also alleged that the Royal Family did not want Archie to have a title.
