Prince Charles is “pained” over not being able to have an active role in grandson Archie’s upbringing, it has been suggested.
Harry and Charles were previously said to be incredibly close to one another, but relations between the pair appear to have hit rock bottom amid the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Teasers from their explosive chat with Oprah has seen Harry say that his “biggest fear” was seeing “history repeat itself” and Meghan claiming that the Royal Family had been “spreading falsehoods” about them.
In a new Channel 5 documentary, Harry and Meghan vs The Monarchy, royal correspondent Simon Vigar gave an insight into how Prince Charles’ relationship with his youngest son has been impacted.

He said: “Harry loves Charles – they clearly have a strong bond. And they are now, literally, not as close as they used to be. I think they are staying in touch over Skype and Zoom but it’s not the same, is it?
“I’m sure it pains Charles that he will not have an active role in the upbringing in Archie.”
As well as his upcoming interview with Oprah, Prince Harry also spoke to longtime friend James Corden, about his move to the UK – which, reportedly, left Oprah “livid”.
